Erik joined the Chamber in October 2018. As Vice President of Public Policy & Research, his focus areas are strategic policy development, government relations, and advocacy.
Erik also has a leadership role with the Virginia Chamber Foundation (VCF) – the 501(c)3 educational foundation counterpart to the Virginia Chamber. Through research and stakeholder engagement, he spearheads policy development for the Virginia Chamber’s business plan for the commonwealth – Blueprint Virginia.
Erik has a decade of experience working at the intersection of public policy, government, and the private sector. Prior to joining the Chamber, Erik led government client project teams for professional service firms North Highland and KPMG. Additionally, he served as Manager of Government Affairs for the Health Industry Distributors Association where he worked on federal and state health care, tax, and emergency preparedness issues. Erik started his professional career as a Legislative Aide in the Virginia General Assembly.
Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Virginia.
