Chicago, IL, December 11, 2012 – Like the rock and roll legends in Cleveland and the baseball superstars in Cooperstown, the Orbitz iPhone app is now officially in the Hall of Fame. Orbitz announced today that the Orbitz iPhone app has been inducted in the App Store Hall of Fame. Out of the more than 700,000 apps and games available on the App Store, the Orbitz Flights, Hotels, Cars app for iPhone was selected this week as one of just 13 new iPhone app inductees into the App Store Hall of Fame.
Apple launched the Hall of Fame two years ago in order to showcase “the best of the best on the App Store.” Since its debut in June 2012, the Orbitz Flights, Hotels and Cars app for iPhone has maintained a 4.5 out of 5-star rating from consumers.
