BILL ERMATINGER NAMED CHAIRMAN OF VIRGINIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
New Board Appointments Announced at Chamber’s Annual Meeting

Richmond, VA (January 22, 2013) –The Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the largest business advocacy organization in the Commonwealth, has named Bill Ermatinger of Huntington Ingalls Industries as Chairman of its Board of Directors.  Mr. Ermatinger was elected at the Chamber’s annual meeting held January 15 in Richmond. He had served as first vice chair of the board in 2012 as well as vice chair for membership on the Chamber’s executive committee.

Bill Ermatinger is vice president and chief human resources officer of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) whose corporate office is located in Newport News, Va.  Named to this position in 2011, he is responsible for human resources strategy, health and welfare, benefits, employee and labor relations, talent acquisition and equal employment opportunity and diversity. Ermatinger has over 25 years  experience in Aerospace and Defense Human Resource Management.  His most recent role was sector vice president of human resources and administration at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding where he was responsible for all Shipbuilding human resources and administration activities.

Ermatinger succeeds 2012 Chairman Ned Massee, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, MWV Corporation in Richmond. Chairman-elect for 2013 is Gary R. Thomson, CPA, Regional Managing Partner, Dixon Hughes Goodman in Glen Allen.
