NORFOLK, VA.  Vandeventer Black LLP is pleased to announce that Tom Berkley has been elected to the Board of Directors for Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc.  Founded in 1875, Colonna’s Shipyard is one of the oldest family owned full service private shipyard in the United States. Colonna’s divisions include Colonna Yachts, Colonna Down River, Steel America and Flow Control Technologies.

Colonna’s lifts over 225 vessels a year on average and is one of the leading propulsion conversion yards on the East Coast. Colonna’s Shipyard holds a NAVSEA – Master Ship Repair (MSR), Authorized Boat Repair (ABR) and ISO 9001:2000 Compliant QMS.

Tom has litigated cases before Virginia trial courts, the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Virginia Supreme Court, federal trial courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and administrative agencies along the East Coast.
