Norfolk, VA (January 28, 2015) – Michael L. Sterling, Managing Partner of the law firm Vandeventer Black LLP, has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of Eggleston Services. The nonprofit organization offers 33 programs across 16 locations throughout Hampton Road, providing services to over 600 individuals each year.
Since 1955, Eggleston Services has been dedicated to educating, training and employing individuals with disabilities in order to help them obtain meaningful work opportunities and participate fully in their communities. Through a variety of opportunities, Eggleston offers on-the-job training and subsequent employment in an Eggleston facility or with a participating corporate partner. Eggleston Services celebrates 60 years of empowering people and changing lives in 2015.

Sterling joined Vandeventer Black in 1985 and serves as Managing Partner of the firm. He has previously served on Boards of the Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia, and the Vandeventer Black Foundation. Sterling concentrates his law practice in construction, public contracts, and administrative matters, with particular focus in resolving complex disputes. He is an Arbitrator and Mediator for the American Arbitration Association, and Vandeventer Black Dispute Resolution Services.
