This is the second round of internal shifts coming out of the nTelos acquisition
Edinburg, VA – September 1, 2015 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (“Shentel”) (NASDAQ: SHEN) announces the promotion of four members of the management team: Brian Brooks to Vice President – Wireless Sales, Kevin Folk to Vice President – Wireless Operations, Angela Washington to Vice President – Customer Service, and Bill Sibert to Director – Facilities Management.
Brooks was formerly Director – Wireless Sales. He now will be responsible for the direct and indirect wireless sales organization, wireless sales support, and wireless sales training. He will report to Willy Pirtle, recently named Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
Folk was formerly Vice President – Customer Service. He now will be responsible for the combined wireless field organization. This will include, at closing with nTelos, maintaining more than 1,500 cell sites and multiple wireless switches. He will report to Tom Whitaker who was recently named Senior Vice President of Operations.
Washington was formerly Manager – Cable Marketing. She will be responsible for the customer service and tech support organizations serving cable and telephone customers. She will report to Earle MacKenzie, Executive Vice President.
Sibert, formerly Director – Construction is now Director – Facilities Management. He will be responsible for all company locations, vehicles and generators. He also will report to Earle MacKenzie.

On Aug. 10, Shentel reached an agreement to acquire NTELOS Holdings Corporation (nTelos), a provider of wireless communications services in portions of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. As a result of this transaction, current nTelos customers will become Shentel customers under the Sprint brand. Upon closure of the transaction later this year, the nTelos customers will begin to be transitioned to the Sprint brand.
