VCC also just opened a Hampton Roads office in downtown Norfolk on October 1, expanding its regional footprint. This new location will help leverage VCC’s impact throughout Virginia by enhancing its lending capability.
Leading the opening of this new office is Thresa Joyce, Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer for VCC. Ms. Joyce has over 20 years of experience in the financial and commercial real estate industries. Most recently, she worked as Mortgage Broker for Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer. She has also served as Regional Director, Mid-Atlantic Originations, for Fremont Investment and Loan and Hometown Commercial Capital (HCC). She was Vice President Commercial Real Estate for GE Capital Corporation. In her roles at Fremont and HCC, she opened east coast commercial real estate loan production offices.
In her new role for VCC, Ms. Joyce has already helped Conte Acquisitions, LLC obtain the innovative capital they needed for a multi-tenant retail building in the Hilltop market. As VCC’s first loan made through the new Hampton Roads office, the process moved swiftly from application to loan closing in just 17 days.

Furthermore, VCC is grateful to The Cabell Foundation for providing a $1 million grant which led to the opening of this new office location and contributed to the growth of the organization.
