Norfolk, VA. (December 8, 2015) – Vandeventer Black LLP has hired Robert ‘J’ Stinnette as a Legal Technology Manager to add depth and specialization to technology-intensive areas of practice. In this position, Stinnette serves as the firm’s principal technical resource and advisor, providing support in litigation technology and cybersecurity. His primary responsibilities include maintaining the firm’s legal technology applications; reviewing cybersecurity issues; setting-up and managing litigation support databases; collaborating with attorneys and paralegals on electronic discovery (e-discovery) matters, document production, document review, and trial preparation; meeting with clients and their IT staff to formulate plans for collection of data from client systems; and dealing with vendors when processing ESI collections.
Stinnette has 20 years of experience in IT consulting for private industry and government agencies, including working as a forensic computer examiner for federal and state criminal investigative agencies.
