Charlottesville, Virginia: Boar’s Head, an historic hotel in Charlottesville, has named Malinda Brakeman Sales Manager for its Richmond corporate, state associations, state government, Tidewater, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and the southeast region.
A welcome addition to our sales team and an asset to our clients, Malinda will be responsible for building on Boar’s Head’s success. She looks forward to combining her customer service and event planning skills here at Boar’s Head and introducing new groups and organizations to one of the mid-Atlantic’s premier resorts. She is especially excited to become an active member of VSAE (Virginia Society of Association Executives).
Between 2010 and 2013 Malinda served as the Special Events Coordinator for The Inn at Little Washington and Executive Assistant to Patrick O’Connell, the Inn’s Owner and Founder. During her time with The Inn, Malinda planned and executed major special events, including intimate weddings, receptions and dinners, executive board meetings and business conferences.

Malinda is a mother of four. She enjoys gardening and traveling and she has served on several educational outreach programs for local children.
