DHG’s Bryan Campbell Receives Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from the University of Mary Washington

 Norfolk, VA, June 23, 2016 —Dixon Hughes Goodman “DHG”, a top 20 national public accounting and advisory firm, announced this week that Bryan Campbell was awarded the University of Mary Washington Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.  Bryan Campbell is a 2006 Alumnus of the University of Mary Washington and is a Senior Manager in DHG’s Norfolk office.  Bryan focuses on Assurance Services for clients in the manufacturing and distribution, government contracting and construction industries.

The University of Mary Washington Outstanding Young Alumnus Award recognizes an alumnus who graduated in the past 15 years.  This individual has distinguished themselves beyond others by providing outstanding service to the Mary Washington community or by making an outstanding contribution to their profession or community.

Bryan has been closely involved with the University of Mary Washington College of Business since his graduation in 2006. He serves as a mentor to students who are interested in pursuing a career in accounting by speaking to classes about his experience in the public accounting profession and also works with the business school leadership on educational initiatives. Professionally, Bryan has distinguished himself by being recognized by the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants as a winner of the “The Top Five Under 35” award, the “Top 40 Under 40” by Inside Business, and as “A Super CPA” by Virginia Business.

Bryan is a leading business developer in DHG’s Mid-Atlantic region and Hampton Roads market.  He helps clients plan for business growth, develops and coordinates accounting and tax plans specific for each client and manages assurance engagement teams for growing middle market, privately held businesses.  He is also a trusted advisor to clients, routinely providing insight on strategic growth initiatives and identifying opportunities and ramifications of certain business decisions.  Bryan created and leads Innovate: Norfolk, a collaborative initiative in DHG’s Hampton Roads offices to foster creativity, community, enthusiasm, teamwork and innovative thinking.  He is also the President of the Business Consortium for Arts Support, a non-profit leader that helps cultural and arts organizations in Hampton Roads meet the costs of running their organizations, connecting the business community with local arts organizations.
