NEWPORT NEWS, VA (2/2/17) – PBMares, LLP – a U.S. Top 100 accounting and business consulting firm serving clients nationally and internationally from offices in the Mid-Atlantic – has named Dwight A. Buracker, CPA, CVA and Neena Shukla, CPA, CFE, CGMA, FCPA as Partners.

Based in the firm’s Harrisonburg office, Buracker has 15 years of public accounting experience. His expertise is providing assurance services to middle market businesses and state and local governmental clients. His primary focus in the government industry is on authorities, boards and commissions. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst, specializing in providing business valuation and consulting services to businesses. He is a member of the Harrisonburg Association of Young Professionals, serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Big Brothers Big Sisters and is part or the planning committee of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Leadership Program. He is also an active member of the Virginia Government Finance Officers Association (VGFOA). Buracker graduated from Ferrum College with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
Shukla works out of the firm’s Fairfax office and has more than 14 years of public accounting experience. She leads the firm’s Government Contracting Team and also focuses on construction contractors, real estate entities, employee benefit plans, Securities and Exchange Commission consulting, and working with technology companies. As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), she also specializes in providing consulting engagements focusing on fraud investigation and analysis. Shukla is active in her community promoting STEM through her involvement with Women in Technology and a local cultural community nonprofit organization. She is also a past recipient of Virginia Business magazine’s “Super CPA” recognition for her work in Assurance Services. Shukla graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Wales in Swansea (United Kingdom).
Both Buracker and Shukla are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).
