FAIRFAX, VA (03/3/17) – Edward D. Warren, Director of Practice Growth for PBMares, LLP, has been elected Board Secretary of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington (SMGW). PBMares is a U.S. Top 100 accounting and business consulting firm serving clients nationally and internationally from offices in the Mid-Atlantic.
Warren joined PBMares in 2014 and is based out of the firm’s Fairfax office. He has more than 25 years of sales, marketing, business development, and management experience. He served as a board member and treasurer of Strive DC prior to their merger with SMGW. Ed joined SMGW’s board when the merger was finalized August of 2016. He was elected treasurer at the SMGW annual meeting in January.
SMGW was founded in 1986 when volunteers from Washington, D.C. metropolitan area Episcopal churches met to discuss the best way to help those who are homeless pursue realistic and attainable goals and in a safe environment. SMGW, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, serves more than 1,000 people each year.
Warren earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland. In addition to SMGW, he also serves as the Finance Committee Chairman for the Association for Accounting Marketing and is a member of the 2017 Class of Leadership Greater Washington.
