LYNCHBURG — Frank Tamberrino, President & CEO of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce was installed as the President of the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (VACCE) on Friday, June 16 during the VACCE Annual Meeting in Lynchburg.  Receiving the gavel from outgoing president, Christine Kennedy, Mr. Tamberrino will serve as president for the 2017-18 term.

“Because our individual members form the foundation of Virginia’s economy, VACCE has become one of the preeminent business associations in the Commonwealth.  It is a privilege to serve in a leadership position and work with others to improve Virginia’s economic competitiveness,” commented Frank.

As President of VACCE, he will preside over the VACCE Board meetings and he currently represents VACCE on the Virginia Chamber’s Board of Directors.  He has over 30 years of experience in the Chamber of Commerce industry and was named President & CEO of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber in 2009.  The 900+ member Chamber of Commerce is responsible for promoting business and improving the business climate in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

Frank received a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Affairs and a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech. In addition to his professional achievements, he has been a member of Rotary for over 30 years, serving as President of the Inverness Rotary in Florida. Frank has been involved in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations throughout his professional career.

The Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (VACCE), administered by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, is an alliance of chamber executives representing large and  small chambers of commerce from localities throughout the state. VACCE strives to develop the professional skills of chamber executives, staff and volunteer leaders. The Association also provides a forum for integrating the work of the local chambers of commerce to contribute to the growth and development not only of local communities but also to our Commonwealth.
