ARLINGTON, VA, August 21, 2017 — Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced Ken Smith has been appointed Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) market leader for its Metro D.C./ Chesapeake market.

In this new position, Smith will be responsible for driving the overall CRB growth strategy, value proposition and talent acquisition efforts across the company’s business in the market, which includes offices in Baltimore, MD; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; and Norfolk, VA. He will report to Doug Pera, head of Corporate Risk and Broking, Atlantic South region.

Washington, D.C. based Smith is a 28-year industry veteran. He joins Willis Towers Watson from Marsh USA, where he held a variety of leadership roles, including most recently leader of its Cincinnati, Columbus and Louisville operations. Previously he held various positions within Marsh’s Washington, D.C., and Baltimore market.
