NEWPORT NEWS, VA (1/15/18) – Carolyn Irwin, CPA, MSA, a tax specialist helping companies in the transportation, real estate and not-for-profit industries as well as high-net-worth individuals, has been named a partner at PBMares, LLP. She works in the Top 100 firm’s Fredericksburg office.

Irwin joined PBMares in 2004 as a staff accountant. She’s a member of the firm’s tax research team and tax internal training team and has been instrumental in helping set the firm’s 2018–20 strategic plan as part of the strategic planning committee. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) where she is active in the local Battlefield Chapter. She is also a member of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of the 2016 Leadership Fredericksburg class.
Irwin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia. She received her master of science in accounting with a taxation concentration in 2003, and a bachelor of business administration in accounting in 2002, both from the University of Notre Dame.
