Petersburg, Va.   Keyashia Willis, a junior biology major at Virginia State University (VSU), was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) for 2018.  The Board is comprised of 14 members, including 4 students. NCHC is the largest membership organization supporting honors education in the United States.  The organization represents more than 900 honors programs and colleges from across the country.

Keyashia is the first student from VSU to be elected to the NCHC Board of Directors.

“I was elated to hear that I have been chosen as a candidate,” Keyashia said. “I am excited to give the Board a different flavor because unlike anyone else on the Board I hail from Virginia State University.”
