RICHMOND –Virginia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Barry DuVal today released the following statement on the 2018 Virginia Energy Conference. The Conference brought together more than 400 business leaders, elected officials, and cabinet members to discuss them importance of sound energy policy for a competitive Commonwealth:

“Future economic growth will depend on the availability of safe, reliable, competitively priced, and diversified energy resources. While we have made great strides, including recently becoming home to the largest corporate solar agreement in the country, it is important we build on this momentum as we consider future plans. The topics discussed at the Virginia Energy Conference are important to ensuring we as a Commonwealth recognize the challenges and opportunities we face as related to energy infrastructure and our economy. As we look forward to the new Virginia Energy plan this year, the Chamber continues to support an all of the above approach to ensuring Virginians have access to affordable, reliable energy.”
