June 11th, 2018

Fredericksburg, VA (June 12, 2018) – Environmental consulting firm Marstel-Day, LLC has earned platinum certification for NSF International’s P391, the General Sustainability Assessment Criteria for Sustainable Service Providers and Services, for the sixth consecutive year.

Marstel-Day participated in the 2011 pilot program and the adoption process was used as a case study to demonstrate the value of this program for other service providers. The company has been dedicated to sustainability practices since it was founded nearly two decades ago, incorporating green practices including offsetting carbon emissions, reducing waste, and promoting the use of public transportation.

Criteria for certification during this very comprehensive audit included the company’s sustainability practices and policies, greenhouse gas emissions and reductions, waste streams, partnerships (such as with CarbonFund) and more. The platinum certification is the highest level of certification that NSF International offers.
