(Bristol, VA) Strongwell, the world’s leading and largest pultruder of fiber reinforced polymer composites, is pleased to announce that all three of its U.S. facilities (Bristol, Virginia; Abingdon, Virginia; Chatfield, Minnesota) recently achieved ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Certification for the Design, Manufacture, Inspection and Testing of Fiber Reinforced Plastics. These same facilities were previously certified to ISO 9001:2008.
ISO 9001:2015 is one of the most stringent and highly recognizable marks of quality that can be achieved by a manufacturer. Used to certify quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015 involves management and employees in the establishment and thorough review of systems and processes, continuous improvement practices, and customer satisfaction efforts.
“This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to be the absolute best at what we do, offering the highest levels of quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. I’m proud of the teams in Virginia and Minnesota that made this happen,” said David Oakley, Strongwell’s President and CEO.
Strongwell was certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard by DNV GL (https://www.dnvgl.com), a global quality assurance and risk management company that is one of the leading providers of accredited management system certification.
