RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize its members who were awarded with Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Awards at today’s 2018 Virginia Workforce Conference for their ongoing commitment to creating and increasing employment opportunities for Veterans in Virginia. With over 800 in attendance, today’s conference, Creating Connections to Virginia’s Business Community, focused on the need to continue the collaboration between our businesses and educational institutions in the Commonwealth to build a first class workforce.

Governor Northam presented the following V3 Awards to Virginia Chamber Members:

Influencer Award:

Dominion Energy

Ambassador Award

Northern Virginia Technology Council

Phoenix Award:

Newport News Shipbuilding

Virginia Chamber President and CEO, Barry DuVal, congratulated the companies: “An important part of caring for our veterans includes connecting them to careers after military service, and I am pleased to see that our Virginia Chamber of Commerce members have put this into practice. We congratulate our V3 awards members for the recognition of their commitment to our veterans. As we continue to build a first class workforce here in Virginia, the Chamber believes that veterans will continue to be critical to that effort.”

Award Descriptions

Influencer Award: Awarded to a V3 certified company that has created the “Best Veteran Marketing Strategy” for the recruitment, hiring, retention, and broad range support of veterans.

Ambassador Award: Promotes the Virginia Values Veterans program by successfully recruiting new partners.

Phoenix Award: Awarded to a V3 certified company who has demonstrated comprehensive support to a Veteran employed by their company or a military job-seeker applying to enter their workforce.
