Norfolk, VA (November 15, 2018)– Vandeventer Black has hired Vania Ratliff for its Norfolk office to practice in the firm’s litigation group. She received her J.D. from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary, where she served as vice-president of the Black Law Student Association and as a member of the Bill of Rights Journal.

Ratliff also competed on the school’s National Moot Court Team and served on the Moot Court board as the 2017-2018 Bushrod Justice. While attending law school, Vania worked in the general counsel’s office of Campus Crusade, Inc. and served as a judicial extern in the Norfolk Circuit Court. Before attending law school, Vania earned her B.A. (magna cum laude) in Political Science from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
