CREWE, Va – As of 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, all known, storm-related power outages caused when Winter Storm Gia moved through Southside Electric Cooperative’s (SEC) territory have been restored.
At the peak of the event on Monday, Jan. 14, nearly 11,000 SEC members lost power.
SEC wishes to sincerely thank our members for their patience during the extended outage event.

While all storm-related outages have been restored at this time, lingering effects from the heavy ice on trees may cause additional outages over the next few days. Members experiencing outages should contact the Cooperative at 1-866-878-5514.
