Norfolk, VA (May 23, 2019) – Vandeventer Black is pleased to announce that attorney Jennifer L. Eaton received the Taylor Reveley Award from William & Mary Law School at this year’s Graduation Ceremony.
“We are proud of Jenny as she exemplifies the ideals upon which this firm has thrived. We are happy she received this important recognition,” said Paul Julius, Executive Director and CFO of Vandeventer Black.
This award is for a William & Mary Law alumnus who has graduated in the past ten years, and who personifies the citizen lawyer tradition of professional achievement, service, personal integrity, and community leadership.
“Being a Citizen Lawyer is not necessarily about grandiose gestures or prestigious achievements. It is simply a day-in and day-out lifestyle of service. It is about changing the world one small act at a time. It is about focusing on your strengths, in spite of your weaknesses, to serve others,” said Eaton in her award acceptance speech.
Eaton is a trial attorney who represents clients primarily in the maritime and transportation industries in state and federal courts across the Commonwealth. Along with her team in the Litigation Practice Group, she also serves as local counsel for matters litigated in the Norfolk and Newport News divisions of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
