Sandstone Care has expanded its service offerings in Virginia to offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at its Reston outpatient location. The PHP level of care, also called a Day Treatment program, is open to young adults ages 18-30 who are struggling with alcohol or drug addiction. This addition allows the experienced team at Sandstone Care’s Reston location to help a larger segment of the population.
Day Treatment is often the next step after completing inpatient treatment or a medical detox from drugs or alcohol. It provides an elevated level of care, structure, supervision, and accountability, while still allowing young adults to live at home or in a sober living environment during the treatment process. Clients attend 25 hours of programming per week, where they work with licensed therapists on coping mechanisms and recovery tools. Using a variety of therapeutic methods, clients are able to stabilize and begin to understand their addiction and mental health struggles. Sandstone Care provides PHP to teens and young adults in Colorado, Maryland, and Virginia.
