Fredericksburg, VA – The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 8th Annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast. This event will take place on August 21st from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Fredericksburg Convention Center. During this time, the business community gathers to pay tribute and show gratitude for our region’s exceptional first responders who tirelessly serve our region.
Keynote Address by Virginia Attorney General Jason S. Miyares
Virginia Attorney General, Jason S. Miyares, will give the event’s keynote address. The Attorney General received his undergraduate degree at James Madison University and completed his law degree at the College of William and Mary. Miyares started his career as a prosecutor in Virginia Beach before becoming a Delegate in the Virginia House. In the year 2021, Jason Miyares was elected as the first Hispanic American for a statewide position in Virginia. As Attorney General he concentrates on battling crime, bettering public safety and fighting against opioid misuses. His office has successfully achieved more than $1 billion in settlements related to opioids, as well as looked into illegal activities of the Parole Board that occurred in 2020 to keep Virginians from corporate misconduct.

- Heroism: Gold, Silver, or Bronze Awards; Meritorious Civilian Award
- Investigative: Excellence in Criminal Investigation Award; Merit Award; The Business of First Responding Award
- Citizen Valor Award
- Lifetime of Service
