Event included backpack and school supply giveaways, and a youth basketball game for students and their families
Chase partnered with local youth organizations, GenSalve and Charged Up Entertainment to donate backpacks and host a back-to-school event. Richmond Chase Community Manager, Ricky Parker and Chase volunteers helped pack and distribute backpacks for kids and families from the Richmond and Chesterfield County school districts. There were also free haircuts and a community basketball game to celebrate 804 Youth Day.
“We’re proud of our community and want to show that by helping families prepare for the school-year and beyond,” said Parker. “At Chase we offer financial health workshops and resources, and savings, budget and credit tools that can help families achieve their goals.”
On August 17, Chase will host another back-to-school event in collaboration with Dreamers Academy Foundation and Radio One in Richmond. These events are part of the Chase nationwide Back-to-School Initiative designed to support 60,000 students and families across the U.S.
