Fredericksburg Regional Chamber Honors Business Leaders at 34th Annual Awards Gala

FREDERICKSBURG – The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce was pleased to award local businesses for their successes, entrepreneurial spirit, and community commitment at the 34th Annual Awards Gala held Friday, April 25 at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair Grounds. With nearly 400 people in attendance including small and large businesses, nonprofits and representatives from state and local governments the evening was a true celebration of entrepreneurial spirit, community impact, and regional success.

Community Impact Award – The Oberle Academy
With over 30 professional educators and a holistic, individualized approach to learning, The Oberle Academy has transformed alternative education in our region for more than 30 years. Their model improves outcomes for at-risk youth while engaging schools, businesses, and government partners to create a stronger, more inclusive workforce pipeline.

Community Impact Award – King George County Schools
Despite limited local funding, KGCS has increased business partnerships and student career readiness at record rates. Under Dr. Jesse Boyd’s leadership, initiatives like the KG Career Academy and monthly “CTEats” dinners have redefined how public education powers economic development and regional progress.

Entrepreneur of the Year – Brian Lam, Collage Spa
Brian Lam turned a one-person practice into a three-location wellness brand employing 70+ people. Through resilience and innovation, Collage Spa has become a regional leader in health, culture, and customer experience. Lam’s commitment to his team, community, and continued growth exemplifies entrepreneurial excellence.

Large Business of the Year – Universal Dynamics (UnaDyn)
A global manufacturer and regional force, UnaDyn blends technical innovation with people-first leadership. Their investment in employee development, local manufacturing, and workforce education programs like externships and internships make them a cornerstone of Fredericksburg’s industrial growth.

Small Business of the Year – Jubilation by Silver Companies
Jubilation has redefined senior living with resort-style amenities, deeply personalized service, and a strong community spirit. From employment opportunities for local students to partnerships with healthcare providers and nonprofits, their model elevates quality of life and engagement for all.

Prince B. Woodard Leadership Award – Kevin Dillard
Founder of LifeCare Medical Transports, Kevin Dillard has spent his career advancing EMS and serving the community. From responding to 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina to delivering ambulances in war-torn Ukraine, his leadership has saved lives, inspired change, and cemented his legacy as a visionary and humanitarian.
