Virginia Chamber Names Two Strategic Hires
RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Chamber of Commerce today announced the addition of Andrew Sinclair and Sarah Owen to its team. Sinclair will serve as the Vice President of Public Policy Development and Executive Director of the Chamber Foundation, joining the organization’s Executive Leadership Team. Owen has been named Director of Investor Relations and Engagement, a key role supporting stakeholder engagement and leading the Chamber’s Industry Councils.
“We’re excited to welcome Andrew and Sarah at a pivotal moment,” said Virginia Chamber President and CEO Cathie J. Vick. “Andrew’s experience in public policy and Sarah’s experience in legislative affairs bring distinct strengths that will advance our efforts to support the business community statewide, especially in a Blueprint year.”
Sinclair brings more than a decade of experience in government relations and public affairs. He most recently served as Director of Federal Government Affairs at the Port of Virginia, and previously held senior roles at Organization Management Group, Inc. and the Hampton Roads Partnership. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hampden-Sydney College.
Owen joins the Virginia Chamber from the Virginia State Senate, where she served as a Legislative Aide to state senators Newman, Peake, and Hackworth. In her role, she will oversee efforts to strengthen relationships with investors and drive stakeholder engagement through the Virginia Chamber’s Industry Councils. Owen holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
Blueprint Virginia 2035 is the Commonwealth’s next comprehensive business plan, and both Andrew and Sarah will play critical roles in its development.
