Fredericksburg Chamber Hosts Regional Superintendent Forum to Discuss the Future of Education

Fredericksburg, VA –The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce will bring together the region’s top education leaders for the annual Superintendent Forum: A Regional Conversation on Education, featuring superintendents from across Planning District 16 (Caroline, Fredericksburg, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford. The event will take place on September 17th from 12pm-1:30pm at the University of Mary Washington.

This forum offers a unique opportunity for business leaders, educators, parents, and community members to hear firsthand updates, priorities, and challenges from each school division. Participating superintendents include:

  • Dr. Sarah Calveric, Caroline County Public Schools
  • Dr. Troy Wright, King George County Schools
  • Dr. Marceline Catlett, Fredericksburg City Public Schools
  • Dr. Clint Mitchell, Spotsylvania County Public Schools
  • Dr. Daniel Smith, Stafford County Public Schools

“Our region’s workforce of tomorrow is sitting in today’s classrooms,” said Carley Walker, Director of the WorkForce NOW program. “Bringing our superintendents together with the business community ensures that we’re working side by side to prepare students for success in both higher education and careers.”

The event will include individual updates from each superintendent followed by a moderated discussion on key issues impacting education, workforce development, and community growth.
