Danville, VA – The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a milestone year in 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the merger between the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce. The historic merger ushered in a new era of regional cooperation, strengthening the business community and laying the foundation for sustained economic growth across the region. The spirit of regionalism continues to grow as the Chamber engages with neighboring Chambers to take regional action that supports and grows businesses in Southside Virginia.

“Over the past quarter century, the unified Chamber has experienced strong membership growth and capitalized on opportunities for collaboration and diverse programming that reflect the evolving needs of local businesses,” said Anne Moore-Sparks, president and CEO. Signature initiatives such as Innovation Partners, WE Lead, the Manufacturers Roundtable, Ambassadors program, and Young Professionals exemplify the Chamber’s commitment to serving members with leadership development, peer learning, and engagement across industries, communities, and generations.

In conjunction with this anniversary, 2026 also marks the unveiling of the Chamber’s new 2026–2029 strategic plan, titled The Next Chapter: Reset. Refocus. Recharge. The plan outlines four strategic focus areas—Value, Organizational Capacity, Leadership & Advocacy, and Philanthropy—designed to position the Chamber for continued relevance and impact in a dynamic economic landscape.

“The Next Chapter” provides a clear roadmap to strengthen the Chamber as an effective avenue for supporting and growing business, while deepening its role as a trusted convener and advocate for the region’s economic vitality,” said Moore-Sparks.

To commemorate this milestone year, the Chamber plans to host a 25th Anniversary Gala later in 2026 that will look ahead to new opportunities for economic growth, leadership, and regional impact in the years to come.
