Tysons, Va., June 27, 2016 – DHG is pleased to announce that partner, Rick White has been elected as Chairman of the Virginia Society of CPA’s (VSCPA) Educational Foundation. The VSCPA Educational Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to attracting future CPAs by promoting financial and accounting education, rewarding academic excellence and encouraging students to pursue promising careers.
Within the VSCPA, Rick has a wealth of experience, having previously served as the VSCPA’s Educational Foundation Vice Chairman. “I am excited and eager to continue to serve the VSCPA Educational Foundation in this new capacity. The Foundation is surrounded by tremendous people and it is an honor to be chosen to lead the organization,” says White. The VSCPA Educational Foundation supports students and educators in Virginia through scholarships and grants. In 2015, the Foundation awarded 25 scholarships to accounting students throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. One of the organization’s primary objectives is to ensure that students have access to high-quality education to prepare them for the CPA profession, thus ensuring a steady group of talented CPAs in the future.
