Richmond, VA- Better Business Bureau serving Central Virginia is hosting its first annual Blast! Sponsored by Green Top Hunting and Fishing on April 23, 2018 and being held at Old Forge Sporting Clays. Funds will support the Better Business Bureau Foundation of Virginia, Inc (501(c)(3).
The mission of BBB is to foster an ethical marketplace where businesses and consumers trust each other. We know a marketplace built on trust builds long term business relationships and continues economic growth in the area. On the flip side, a marketplace inundated with fraudulently business practices takes money and resources out of the community and away from local businesses.
“This will be a terrific event, hosted at a beautiful facility, and will help raise money for scholarships to send children to college or trade school,” says Barry N. Moore, President and CEO of BBBCV. “Plus, we get to see who can shoot a clay bird or who just talks the talk,” he added.
The BBB foundation of Virginia supports some of the most valuable demographics in central Virginia through several education initiatives; our senior fraud prevention which is directly targeted to senior education. We support all active duty service men and women, their families, and veterans through our Military Line which provided investment education as well as job matching in partnership with the V3 program of Virginia Department of Veteran Services.
We also provide ethics training directed to our younger generations. BBB feels that ethics and integrity taught at the school level will build strong relationships between a new generation of consumers and business owners. Students that learn how to interact with their peers in an ethical way are more likely to continue those ethical decisions as they begin making buying decisions.
The event, located in beautiful New Kent County will feature fifteen differencing stations and will conclude with a fantastic barbeque lunch. If you are interested in putting together a team or sponsoring this exciting event, please reach out to us today at osmith@centralvirginia.bbb.org.
