Every spring, the editors of “Building Design+Construction” survey the nation’s largest architecture, engineering and construction firms to identify the most prominent design and construction firms across 25 building sectors and specialty categories. Companies on the 2023 Top 115 Multifamily Construction Firms list are ranked according to percentage revenue for all multifamily buildings work, including apartments, condominiums, student housing facilities and senior living facilities. The contractors top list reflects revenues for general contracting, design-build, CM at risk, and IPD—projects where all revenues flow through the contractor.

This year a record 552 architecture, engineering and construction firms participated in BD+C’s Giants 400 report. The final report includes 137 rankings across 25 building sectors and specialty categories.
