Lumos provides 100% Fiber Optic Internet, whole-Home Wi-Fi, voice and streaming services, to more than 250,000 homes and businesses across North Carolina, Virginia and, recently announced, South Carolina footprint.  We believe that the possibilities of tomorrow cannot be built on the infrastructure of yesterday. That’s why we’re building a 100% Fiber Optic network from the ground up for families, small businesses and communities, backed by local, expert customer service.

As 2023 was the inaugural year for our summer internship program, interns had the opportunity to be a part of the rapid fiber expansion Lumos is leading right now! We’re currently reaching more than 250,000 residential and business properties in North Carolina and Virginia, extending across more than 5,000 miles of fiber cable. Our interns worked alongside individuals coming together to provide under-serviced communities with fiber technology built from the ground up across a super-region of 11 states.  Each of our interns had meaningful duties in support of our various functions to support our continued growth.
