The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is launching the ENERGY STAR Industrial Assistance Network to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers with access to local energy management support. This means manufacturers operating in EPA Region 3 (DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, and WV) will have access to trainings, tools and resources, networking opportunities, and technical assistance to help save energy and money.
The Industrial Assistance Network (IAN) will offer completely free and voluntary industrial energy management support to interested parties. Participants will receive:
- Training – Monthly virtual trainings led by experienced industrial energy managers.
- Tools – Gain access to ENERGY STAR tools and resources focused on building a program and on plant-level utility and process improvements.
- Networking Opportunities – Quarterly workshops to share best practices.
- Coaching – Industrial energy management experts will help build a culture of energy management and process improvement.
Manufacturers served by the VA Chamber of Commerce are invited to join the IAN for Region 3. EPA’s Region 3 IAN Coordinator, Cristina Schulingkamp, is CC’d on this email and would be more than happy to schedule a brief call at your convenience to discuss the benefits of the network and answer any questions or concerns you might have.
More information is available at the EPA webpage: Industrial Assistance Network | ENERGY STAR. An informational pamphlet is also attached.
Training starts in June 2024. Sign up by June 1st to participate in the first round of training! Manufacturers interested in registering should email R3EnergyNetwork@energystar.gov.
