Fredericksburg, Va. — Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) is proud to announce that it has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 17 outstanding students across its service territory.
The Community Scholarship program is part of REC’s continued commitment to supporting education and strengthening the communities it serves. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and current college or technical school students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a clear vision for their future.
“This scholarship program is one way REC helps open doors for the next generation,” said Casey Hollins, Managing Director – Communications and Public Relations. “By supporting students on their journey toward higher education or workforce training, we’re investing in the future of our communities and in the young leaders who will help shape it.”
