Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP)

The Virginia Talent and Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP) is a collaboration between the Virginia Chamber Foundation, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), and the Virginia Business Higher Education Council (VBHEC) aimed at expanding internships and work-based learning opportunities. V-TOP equips businesses, students, and higher education institutions with the tools and resources necessary to create and expand these impactful work-based learning opportunities. The mission is to enhance internship readiness by fostering strong connections between Virginia’s workforce, education sector, and the next generation of talent. 

A top concern of Virginia employers is access to an adaptive, well-trained workforce. The benefits of internships and other work-based learning experiences on workplace readiness and career development cannot be overstated. It is important for employers to offer these opportunities to build their talent pipelines and provide an educational pathway to a career.
