The Health Care Executive Committee provides thought leadership and advises policy research to better understand the state’s unique health care challenges. Representing a diverse coalition of Virginia’s leading health care businesses, the Executive Committee is working collaboratively to advance Virginia’s world-class health care system.
Mission:
To foster collaboration with the business community and stakeholders to identify and address health-related challenges and opportunities, support evidence-based practices, and encourage innovation in health care and life sciences.
Vision:
To promote the health and well-being of all Virginians by advancing the fields of health care and life sciences through education and advocacy.
Executive Committee Areas of Focus:
The Executive Committee is working to implement the policies and initiatives outlined in the Health Care chapter of the Virginia Chamber’s strategic plan, Blueprint Virginia 2030. The five areas of focus identified within the document detail specific policy recommendations aimed at strengthening the Virginia health care industry. Representing the objectives and goals of the Health Care Executive Committee, the five areas of focus broadly stated include:
- Support population and health and wellness
- Improving access
- Strengthening quality while controlling and reducing cost
- Fostering innovation throughout health care and life sciences
- Bolster health care talent supply
- Improve health equity and social determinants of health
