The Government Affairs Council provides a structured and inclusive platform for members to engage in the Virginia Chamber’s advocacy work and contribute to the development and promotion of policies that foster a competitive, business friendly environment in Virginia.

Council Activities
- Engage in weekly strategy sessions throughout the General Assembly Session to review legislative developments, provide input on strategic priorities, and help guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts.
- Participate in quarterly Council meetings to receive policy briefings and provide input on strategic legislative planning.
- Attend an exclusive Legislative Preview to review upcoming legislative priorities and forecasts.
- Attend receptions with key elected and appointed officials to build and strengthen strategic relationships.
