Richmond, VA., July 9, 2014 – Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, a full-service CPA and advisory firm, recently donated 431,475 pounds of food to the communities it serves across 11 states of the firm’s footprint.
The third annual Dixon Hughes Goodman Count the Cans food drive was held from June 20-27 and focused on collecting monetary and non-perishable food donations in an effort serve communities and families who face the struggle of hunger. Over the 2012-2014 duration of the firm’s annual food drive, over 2.9 Million Pounds of food have been donated to local food banks in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic states.

In the Richmond and Chester Dixon Hughes Goodman offices, employees donated over 8,400 cans of food to the Central Virginia Food Bank (FeedMore) and over 2,600 cans to the Chesterfield Food Bank. Employees across the firm competed in a friendly competition across offices for the most points earned through can donations.
