Zantech IT Services, Inc. has named Dr. Greg Hanson as its new Chief Operating Officer effective January 11, 2016. Dr. Hanson succeeds current COO Dr. C. Allan Foy who is retiring. Dr. Foy, who has served as COO since joining the company in 2008, will remain involved with the company in the capacity of Senior Advisor for the near future.
Dr. J. Greg Hanson is responsible for all of Zantech’s operating activities, including business development, revenue and sales growth, contract management, execution and delivery. He provides vision and leadership to ensure Zantech has the operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems to grow the organization and to ensure financial strength. In this capacity, Dr. Hanson brings over 30 years’ experience in leadership positions, in the federal defense and civilian sectors as well as industry and academia. He has served as President, General Manager, COO, CIO, and CTO for high-technology and IT services companies ranging in size to over $ 400M in annual revenue. Dr. Hanson was the first Assistant Sergeant at Arms and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the U.S. Senate where he was responsible for technology vision, strategy, and operations of a 500-person organization and a $150M budget supporting the Senate nation-wide. Prior to joining industry, in 1997, Dr. Hanson had a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force where he retired as Chief Software Engineer at USAF Headquarters. Dr. Hanson is a respected international lecturer and author with awards for leadership and professional excellence including the 2006 UCF Distinguished Alumnus Award, and two Federal Computer Week Fed100 Awards – one for government service and one for service in industry. Dr. Hanson earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, MS in Information Systems from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, and a BS from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
