In three weeks, we will have the opportunity to vote for the men and women who will represent us at the different levels of government, including the presidency.

Virginia voters will also have two Constitutional Amendments on their ballot this year.

Last week, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce formally announced its support for both Constitutional Amendments and have encouraged all members of Virginia’s business community to review the proposed amendments.

Proposed Constitutional Amendment #1 will bring greater transparency and impartiality to the Virginia redistricting process and allow private citizens to have a stronger voice in the process long considered to be too partisan.

Proposed Constitutional Amendment # 2 will provide a tax exemption for 100% permanent service-related disabled veterans of the United States armed forces or the Virginia National Guard. By supporting this amendment, we have the opportunity to build on Virginia’s reputation as one of the best states in the nation to provide employment, education, and other opportunities for military families and veterans.
