Over 200 Leaders Across Virginia Already Trained; Registration Now Open
Danville, VA (August 27, 2025) – GENEDGE and the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce are bringing back its highly successful Leadership Development Training Series this fall, following strong demand and overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants statewide. To date, more than 200 individuals across the Commonwealth of Virginia have completed this training, strengthening leadership pipelines and enhancing organizational performance.
The upcoming six-session program will begin Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 8:00 AM at Danville Community College’s Taylor Building, Room 204, with sessions continuing biweekly through November 20. The cost is $1,500 per participant, including all course materials.
“This program is helping organizations build stronger leaders who can improve retention, performance, and workplace culture,” said Anne Moore-Sparks, president & CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to see this training return to our region, where leadership development is critical to business growth.”
The course equips current and emerging leaders with practical, behavior-based skills in communication, coaching, goal-setting, performance management, trust-building, and conflict resolution. Each four-hour session combines instruction with skills practice, group discussion, and real-world application.
Bert Eades, Business Development Director at GENEDGE, emphasized the long-term value: “When organizations invest in developing leaders, they see measurable impacts in employee engagement, retention, and productivity. This course is structured to give supervisors and managers the tools they need to lead with confidence and clarity.”
Local industry leaders agree on the program’s impact. Amelia Cheek, HR Business Partner at IperionX, shared: “Our leaders who attended past sessions came back more prepared to handle real challenges. They’re more effective coaches, better communicators, and stronger contributors to our culture.”
Education partners are also key to the program’s success. Chad Younger, Director of Workforce Services at Danville Community College, noted: “We’re proud to host this training on our campus. DCC is committed to supporting regional workforce development, and programs like this provide immediate and lasting benefits for local employers.”
