Fredericksburg, Va. (May 12, 2017) – For the sixth year in a row, Marstel-Day has been selected by the Allliance for Workplace Excellence as a 2017 EcoLeadership Award Winner, for its accomplishments in leadership and commitment to creating and maintaining an environmentally sustainable and healthy workplace, through waste minimization, conservation, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VA DEQ) also recognized Marstel-Day for its environmental contributions. The VA DEQ Sustainability Partners Program, which has recognized Marstel-Day as a partner since 2013, encourages organizations to make environmental sustainability part of their culture by recognizing visionary employers who implement measurable, and verifiable conservation efforts, leading to improvements in energy/water usage, waste generation, and other environmental benefits.
